The technical difference
Why our pixel
actually works
Every other attribution tool quietly loses 5–15% of your traffic to ad blockers, and another chunk to iOS Safari. Here is what we built to close the gaps nobody else is fixing.
The problem
Ad blockers strip 5–15% of visitors
uBlock Origin, Brave Shields, Ghostery and AdGuard identify tracking scripts by URL pattern and block them before a single byte loads. That traffic vanishes into "Direct / Unknown" and your paid channels look worse than they actually are.
How we fix it
Our pixel runs inside Shopify's sandboxed Customer Events runtime. There is no URL to block.
The problem
iOS ATT kills 30–60% of Meta pixel conversions
When a customer taps your ad inside the Facebook or Instagram app on iOS, App Tracking Transparency blocks the fbclid and the in-browser pixel event. Meta's Ads Manager shows the click but never sees the conversion — and your click-based attribution tool sees neither.
How we fix it
We fire server-to-server Purchase events via Meta CAPI and Google Enhanced Conversions on every order, with hashed email + phone. iOS can't block what your server sends, and the platforms match the conversion back to the ad click using the hashed PII.
The problem
checkout.shopify.com is a black box
Shopify's hosted checkout runs on a separate sandboxed domain where no external script can execute. Every other browser pixel is blind to mid-checkout behaviour, abandoned carts, and payment failures.
How we fix it
Shopify's Customer Events runtime fires natively on every checkout page - including the Shopify-hosted ones.
The problem
iOS Safari ITP caps cookies at 7 days
Apple's Intelligent Tracking Prevention expires first-party cookies after 7 days of inactivity. Returning customers who come back after a week show up as brand new - crediting the wrong channel for the purchase.
How we fix it
We lean on Shopify's own session identity, not our cookies. ITP does not apply and returning customers stay attributed.
The problem
Shopify is deprecating ScriptTags
Shopify has been quietly phasing out the ScriptTag API that every other attribution tool relies on, in favour of their native extension model. Competitors on the old rails are on borrowed time.
How we fix it
We are built on Shopify's official forward path from day one. When the old model goes dark, we don't blink.
